To Quote John Oliver describing George W. Bush:

Jan. 19th, 2009 | 06:58 pm

“a conceptual artist whose thought-provoking, eight-year installation entitled ‘43rd Presidency’ is supposed to make us consider how terrible it would be if a man like him was ever really elected”

Last night was Jeremy's birthday party.

Oct. 18th, 2008 | 08:00 pm

The Theme was "USO Morale Boost Ball, 1943."
A good time was had by all.

You can find the whole set here.

Jeremy let me use his flash since he was busy being the belle of the ball. It made all the difference in my photos. I want one in a very bad way.

Screensaver blah

Oct. 12th, 2008 | 09:38 pm
music: Rufus Wainwright - Cigarettes and Chocolate Milk | Powered by Last.fm

While I love Electric Sheep as a screensaver, it sucks power and rarely updates because I don't idle my laptop all that much.

OS X comes with a built in RSS Photo screensaver that I have always wanted to use in combination with Flickr Interestingness, but Flickr does not supply an RSS feed for that particular part of flickr, and the ad hoc third party options only scraped the preview photos which don't look all that interesting when blown up to full screen resolution.

Enter Yahoo! Pipes, in all it's deliciousness.

Some hero put together a pipe that harvests larger versions of the photos, and produces an RSS feed.

Awesome.

music: Europe - The Final Countdown | Scrobbled by Last.fm

We're leaving together but still it's farewell. And maybe well come back to Earth, who can tell? I guess there is no one to blame. We're leaving ground. Will things ever be the same again?

We're heading for Venus and still we stand tall Cause maybe they've seen us and welcome us all. With so many light years to go and things to be found I'm sure that well all miss her so.

Something good from the ashes of 4chan

Sep. 11th, 2008 | 03:25 pm
music: W.T. Snacks - Midnight Snacks 02.01.06 | Scrobbled by Last.fm

Midnight snacks is pretty much the best music podcast I have found. It's been going on for damn well three years, and all of it is solid gold.
It's tagged with things like "avant garde, breakcore, chiptune, doom metal, electro, hip-hop, idm, industrial, j-punk, j-rock, jazz"
But, like. It's all really fucking good. Some of the best music I have listened to has come from this podcast.
If you like that electronic music thing, Go check it out.
